Ajit Singh

Ajit Singh is the Founder and Managing Director of Hatfield Investigation & Consulting, an established private investigation and risk consulting firm in India. With over three decades of experience in the investigative profession, he began his career in 1991 and founded Hatfield in 1995. A Certified Private Investigator from AIIM & Seathro, Singapore, and a Certified International Investigator, Ajit is recognised for his leadership and contribution to the investigation profession. His expertise spans corporate investigations, due diligence, fraud detection, corporate intelligence and risk mitigation. He has received several prestigious national and international recognitions, including the "Investigation Leadership Award (APDI)" in 2019 and 2024, "Investigator of the Year (2017)" and "Investigation Entrepreneur of the Year (2012)", presented by distinguished national leaders.

Ajit is an active member of leading professional associations, including the Council of International Investigators (CII), USA; Association of British Investigators (ABI), UK; INTELLENET, USA; and ASIS International, USA. He is a Founder Member and National General Secretary of the Association of Private Detectives & Investigators of India (APDI), and Treasurer of the Central Association of Private Security Industry (CAPSI).

Beyond his professional commitments, he has also served Rotary International as President and Assistant Governor of Rotary Club of Delhi Manthan, District 3011.

Ajit continues to contribute towards strengthening professional standards, promoting ethical investigative practices and advancing the corporate investigation profession in India and internationally.

Our Background

Hatfield Investigation and Consulting was founded in 1995 by Mr. Ajit Singh with a simple goal: to offer reliable and confidential investigation services grounded in evidence and ethics, with a focus on long term client trust. What began as a focused practice handling personal and corporate matters has steadily grown alongside changing client needs and increasing operational risk challenges.
